Taryn Kleinberg is a character in Wendell and Vinnie. She is Wendell and Vinnie's recently divorced neighbor and close friend. She comes from Houston, Texas. She was portrayed by Haley Strode.
As mentioned in "Pick-Ups & Drop-Offs," Taryn is Jewish and is looking for a synagogue in town.
Description
Taryn is Wendell and Vinnie's awkward and unlucky neighbor. She is a bit of a health nut. This is seen in "Wendell and the Sleepover" when she makes nutritious snacks for Vinnie and Wendell before Wendell's first sleepover (Vinnie tries to pretend that they are not bad, although the taste is not delightful). She also runs an exercise class and likes to take jogs in the park, where Wendell and Vinnie also skateboard.
Taryn previously lived in Houston, Texas, and was married before. Recently, she has divorced, and she says that her ex-husband leaving her was the best thing that's ever happened to her (she also admits this makes her life sound awful). She moved into the apartment next door to Wendell and Vinnie. She has become friends with them, and has met Wilma Bassett briefly. She enjoys her new life, although she has had some embarrassing moments.
In the series finale "First Dances & Last Chances," Taryn realizes that she has a crush on Vinnie and kisses him, but then Vinnie rejects her and tells her that he's involved with someone else.
Residence
Taryn lives in the apartment next door to Wendell and Vinnie: Apartment 5A. From the outside, it looks like a regular apartment. On the inside, Taryn decorates it with all kinds of red heart designs, red heart-shaped streamers, and red spheres. The door handle is also red.
Trivia
- Taryn appears the most out of all the other apartment residents.
- She is Jewish, as revealed in the episode "Pick-Ups & Drop-Offs." Her last name, Kleinberg, is also a Jewish name.
